FIRST COAST QUILTERS GUILD

Our Story

Welcome to the First Coast Quilters Guild.  If you are a new member or a current member, we are glad you decided to join us.  If you are looking for a guild to join, then look no further.  First Coast Quilters Guild offers monthly meetings with fellowship, programs, show & tell, classes, and other fun activities.

First Coast Quilters Guild (FCQG) was formed in November 1984 by Faye Heyn, former owner of Calico Station Quilt Shop.  The purpose of our Guild is to preserve the heritage of quilting, to be a source of information and inspiration, to perpetuate a high quality of excellence in quilting and related arts, and to be a gathering of people with a common interest.

FCQG is a non-profit organization.  We have provided Love Quilts and/or monetary donations to the Ronald McDonald House, Clay County Children’s Haven, Orange Park Library, Hubbard House, American Diabetes Association, Quigley House, Hospice Northeast, Orange Park Kidney Center, Clay County Habitat for Humanities, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Arthritis Foundation, SeaMark Ranch, and the BASCA Community, to name a few.  We have also provided services at the gift wrapping booth at Orange Park Mall during the Christmas Season in support of the American Cancer Society.  Each year we try to choose an organization(s) that we can help.

Monthly meetings are held on the Second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm with a 'meet and greet' starting at 6:30 pm.  With the exception of February and March of 2016 when we will meet on the third Thursday of the month.  Guest are welcome to attend and encouraged to join.
